I walked at the rotary trail today. I started at the Lickman parking lot and walked to the train bridge. I saw my first swifts of the year, about 70 of them, I think they came from the north dyke with the other swallows then circled over the river. There were 3 noisy Greater yellowlegs too.
On my way back, I walked the north dyke. Of note was a male Cinnamon Teal, 13 Least Sandpiper, and 9 more yellowlegs in a flooded area off the dyke. Tons of swallows too, I wonder if they were migrants stopped by the weather. I enjoyed seeing a Pileated Woodpecker on a dead tree too. Got 42 species in total

That's a nice walk. Some good habitat diversity.
