Beautiful day and it was also even nicer with some bird species that have arrived back from their wintering grounds. At Thacker Park in Hope was a Nashville Warbler. He also sang a few times. I also got two Hermit Thrush. There's a few Varied Thrush around and their calls can be similar. This one popped up for me to confirm what I sort of thought was one. _0245456 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr The second one I didn't have to work for at all; it was hopping around on the trail. I think this is opposite to leucistic and a melanistic junco? Not sure if the bill is just dirty or also darker. _0245460 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr _0245472 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr It's a male as he was singing _0245471 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Kettle Valley Railway trail just across the road from Thacker had a Black-throated Grey Warbler. This evening at Sardis Pond I saw a nice male Cinnamon Teal and managed a flight shot when he got sick of the antics of battling Mallards and he sought out a quieter section of pond. _0245493 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr
