We went for a little drive up to Columbia Valley and managed to get a bit of birding in between the rain. Checked the lake briefly and saw two Horned Grebe partially molted to breeding colours. Quite a few White-crowned and a few Savannah Sparrows were singing at Columbia Valley. _0245331 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Flocks of migrating American Robins are still about in the fields. We found three Townsend's Solitaires as well. One posed in a rain shower for a photo. The photo captured a rain drop going off its back. Too bad the shutter speed was too slow in the lower light to freeze the action. _0245323 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr A male House Finch enjoyed the brief bit of sun that came out. _0245312 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr
