This morning, the Heron Reserve was very active. With the amount of bird song and greenery, it really felt like spring has arrived. I was surprised when I finished with 53 species. A few highlights included a Wilson's Snipe near the East Blind, a Hermit Thrush just south of the bridge along the main trail, and a drumming Ruffed Grouse. Still a few species of waterfowl left.
The feeders were busy with GC, WC, and WT sparrows present in good numbers.
