We did a little birding yesterday. We popped in at Jesperson Road and saw the Sandhill Crane with the flock of swans. The flock of swans had Tundra Swan outnumbering the Trumpeter Swan which isn't usual. A Greater White-fronted Goose among the swans and crane added a bit more intrigue to the flock. A couple Western Meadowlarks singing was nice to hear. Harrison Lake had four Red-breasted Mergansers in the scope far out on the lake. A singing Yellow-rumped Warbler was a first for us to hear this spring. A male Anna's Hummingbird posed nicely in a light rain shower. As we were leaving, a Savannah Sparrow landed on the grass. No doubt a migrant. The diffuse light made for a nice shot of the hummingbird. _0245163 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr _0245162 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr
