Today's miserable weather is at least letting me get caught up on some work on the computer. Most of these pictures are for you 'gull' lovers. Think these are Glaucous Winged Gulls with the Black Turnstone. Oops...when I look again, they are obviously not all Glaucous Winged Gulls....what are the ones with the black wing tips? This was the best I could manage of some Harlequin Ducks. One female Red Breasted Merganser in there with them. Mew & Bonaparte Gulls This gives an idea of the profusion of gulls and ducks in the area. A flock of Brandt flying Brandt with Mew and Bonaparte Gulls Another Brandt, Mew and Bonaparte picture

Kathy, more beautiful photos! I like the flock of Brant in flight. Wow, that's a lot of ducks!!!
As for your gull question I would put my best guess on a Thayer's Gull. It's small and dainty enough to be one and the eye is dark. The one facing the camera there looks similar and could be one as well.
