There were not a great many gulls out from Island 22 today but among the ones feeding on dead salmon was a young Glaucous Gull. Missed October's monthly challenge by a day. I didn't notice the Tree Sparrow today. _0232294 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr

A young Glaucous Gull was resting on an Island near the Rotary trail at Lickman this morning.

The one at Island 22 was there again today but didn't stay long today as it flew downstream.

Only took 10 years, but I got it! LOL Same one at Island 22 by the dog park. Got the Rusty Blackbird last week, so now I'm nearly out of winter nemesiseses. Redpoll and Western Screech I guess?! Attachments:

Becke well done! Cool that it is still hanging around. Sounds like you're having a fun winter.

We went to Island 22 today to see if the gull was still around. It is still hanging in and was keeping company with three Bald Eagles feeding on dead salmon. The rest of the gulls were a bit further downstream which we thought interesting. A scope was needed today for best looks.
