I made a quick stop at White Rock, just west of the pier, as usual, many scoters were present. Blackie Spit was next and it was quite active even though I wasn't there too long. A lot of dabbling ducks, in particular Pintails and Wigeons. Had my first Eurasian Wigeons of the Fall. Saw the two Marbled Godwits and this time they weren't resting but feeding. A number of gulls were there as well, including Short-billed, Bonaparte's, and Ring-billed. Saw two Cedar Waxwings and I haven't seen them out our way in weeks. My next stop was going to be Point Roberts but I made a tiny detour to try and see a Tropical Kingbird at Boundary Bay Regional Park. I didn't see the Kingbird but it was my first time visiting the park so enjoyed that. Point Roberts was quite active. It's one of my favourite spots out west and also a good spot to fill up with gas. Walked along the beach and a few Harlequin Ducks were accommodating, Harlequin Duck at Lighthouse Marine Park, Point Roberts Harlequin Duck at Lighthouse Marine Park, Point Roberts Saw my first Long-tailed Ducks and Brant of the Fall. Saw at least one Ancient Murrelet and likely 5 more but couldn't confirm. Also saw 12 Pigeon Guillemot. I stopped in to check out the Kingbird and managed to see it. The first one I have seen since 2011. Tropical Kingbird at Boundary Bay Regional Park My final stop was 104th. I walked to 112th and the tide was far out but still managed thousands of ducks and Dunlin. The Dunlin were doing some nice aerial displays. Finally, saw two Mourning Doves and two Meadowlarks.
