Larry and I had a great time in the Delta area, last Thursday. At the ferry jetty, our patience was rewarded by the arrival of hundreds of Black-bellied plovers with the rising tide. Mixed in among them were two Bar-tailed godwits, one of which we mistook for a Marbled. On the other side of the jetty, from the taxi pullout, was a Pigeon guillemot and a pair of Whimbrels. Nothing super interesting was found at Boundary Bay, except for a Pectoral sandpiper. Blackie Spit had the biggest challenge of the day, in that we had to somehow pick out an American golden-plover from amongst several dozen BBPL. After just over an hour of scanning and analyzing, we finally got a brief but satisfying view of our bird. This was a lifer for me. The trip report: ebird.org/tripreport/161976?view=checklists
