No luck on Jamie's Clay-coloured Sparrow but there were two Vesper Sparrows and a lucky spotting of a Parasitic Jaeger over Harrison Lake. Yellow Warbler were regular in the short cottonwoods along the lagoon. Swallows and Vaux's Swift regular heading over in a southerly direction. _0230841 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Late afternoon Sumas Prairie on Campbell Road near Marion Road was my first Greater White-fronted Goose of the fall. I think there's not many records for them in August. This one was with a bunch of Canada Geese. No Baird's Sandpipers today but a nice flock of 40ish Killdeer on Marion. It's been a good year for Bank Swallows over the turf farms among the mostly Barn Swallows. A decent count of 40 was a high count. _0230892 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Quick share of a few other things Some Lesser Yellowlegs have been at Tuyteens Wetlands in Agassiz. _0230776 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr _0230772 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr They're not bad swimmers either. This one decided to swim a deep part rather than fly to the more shallow destination _0230788 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Baird's Sandpiper from Harrison Lagoon _0230725 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Red Crossbills on the beach also at the lagoon Juvenile _0230707 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Dad _0230700 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Mom _0230696 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr
