Stopped by Jackman Wetlands this evening to see what was going on there. Not many dogs and plenty of birds, though they weren't singing much. The water has gone down again, so much so that the north pond is pretty much dried up. Shore birds are showing up now too, mainly at the southernmost pond. I saw what I am pretty certain were two Greater Yellowlegs and one lesser, plus a bonus Least Sandpiper. There were also lots of Killdeer, as usual, which is handy for gauging the relative size od other shorebirds. And lastly, I counted ten Pied-billed Grebes, the most I've ever had in one location. Three adults and seven young ones. They seem remarkably indifferent to the eagles, dogs, and merlins at the park.

Thanks for sharing! That was one of my favourite sites to visit. The southern pond was the reliable pond then too.
