Did a trip to Whidbey Island from July 11th-17th. I have been here before but it's always nice visiting a different area and seeing species you don't always see here. The beach along Fort Casey State Park is great to walk. There were a lot of seabirds here. Good numbers of Rhino Auklets here, and in most areas on the trip. Rhinoceros Auklet at Fort Casey State Park Saw a few Marbled Murrelets on the trip. Most of the time they were quite vocal. Marbled Murrelet at Fort Casey State Park Pigeon Guillemots were common in most areas along the coast. This one eventually took the food it caught and went into a hole in the cliff. Pigeon Guillemot at Fort Casey State Park Did a ferry ride to Port Townsend. Nothing of note was seen but it's always nice getting views of ocean birds from a boat and not from shore. I am sure during migration there would be more to see. Walked around Washington Park in Anacortes twice on the trip. Excellent area to visit. A decent number of Mourning Doves on the island. Managed a photo of one along Ebey's Landing. Mourning Dove at Ebey's Landing Heermann's Gulls were very common in most areas. My favourite gull that I have seen. Heermann's Gull at Ebey's Landing Tallied 80 species. Trip report if interested ebird.org/tripreport/145855?view=checklists

Nice photos, Chris. It's always a great area to visit. Washington Park used to be one of my regular stops. It's where I learned my Alcids.
