Hey folks, I'm just in the Berlin airport about to head home after a trip to Europe. My wife had a conference in Northern Germany this week so we left on October 13 and rented a car from Hamburg. We drove north to the west coast of Denmark, then across Denmark, then down to the southern tip of Sweden before arriving in northeastern Germany. This was not a birding trip but as all you birders know we are always birding! I managed to sneak a bit in here and there and then I had a full 1.5 days around Stralsund in Germany to bird while my wife was in her conference. I had a total of 81 species with 40 lifers. My only miss that I regret is not finding a bearded reedling - it was a target bird in my two free days and they are definitely around but I struck out. I certainly can't complain though! I did not have my camera but here's my trip report/list if anyone is interested: ebird.org/tripreport/82202?welcome=true

Thanks for sharing your report, Randy. Very interesting to see what can be seen casually. Quite a few lifers for me on the list! DB
