At work this morming I saw two Ospray (years first) and about 35 other common species. I was working in Fort Langly today and had ten minuets at lunch time so I zipped over to Derby Reach. I got out of my car and right away I saw a Wilson's warbler. While I was watching it I notes a Hutton's Vireo in the same willow. Then the Wilson's flow of and in came a Calliope Male and landed in a snag just beside the willow. All three years firest. On the way home I stopped by the GB Heron Reserve to see if the Arctic Skipper butterflywhere flying yet. Right away I hear a Greater Yellow-legs calling franticly as it flue toward me. Then I see why. There was a Peregrine Falcon 10m behind it. The GRYE managed to escape by diving at great speed and a very steep angle down into the weeds. After that commotion I walked over to the lagoon and there were 5 Leased Sandpipers Another great day.

Denis, did you find any Arctic Skippers? I had one in the canary grass along the pond at TWU this afternoon, May 4.
