Here are some photos from our trip to Vancouver Island last month. Black Oyster Catchers seen off of the Victoria Waterfront Black Turnstone seen in the same place Pintails coming in for a landing at Esquimalt Lagoon An Adult Trumpeter Swan with a juvenile Mute swan, also at Esquimalt Lagoon Brant feeding on the beach at Parksville (I have lots more Brant pictures) Just a very small section of the thousands of ducks off of Qualicum Beach. Scoters (all 3 kinds), Scaups, Harlequin, Long Tail and both types of Goldeneyes

Sounds like a fun trip! I've got to get over to the island... some of your photos would be lifers for me.

Kathy, great photos! I really like that one of the pintails coming in to land. One female in the middle of all those males! The swan photo is certainly unique to have a mute and trumpeter swan together!
