Day trip to the river to photograph eagles. Lucked out finding a recent duck kill. Although the adults had feed and fled the scene, they left enough remanants for the younglings. This bold fellow was undaunted by the presence of my automobile parked less that 5 feet away from his dinner. He hopped from his tree perch onto the ground and proceeded to crunch his/her way thru lunch. I remained in the car, shooting from warmth and luxury. Nature has always had the best shows!! This time I had ground floor ticktets - no tree butts this day.

Super photo. We got a similar one of a Peregrine Falcon feeding on a Ring Necked Duck a couple of years ago. Sorry for the bird, but it sure is exciting when you happen upon something like this. Sue
