At about 4:45 this afternoon I spotted a Black-and-White Warbler associating with a small flock of Bushtits at Walden Park. It was making its way south along the trees lining the western edge of the parking lot before I lost it in the yard of the corner house. I tried to turn it into a Black-throated Gray Warbler but it lacked a yellow spot near the eye and the white crown stripe was clearly visible. It also lacked any black on its throat.

I took a look first light yesterday morning and then again at the end of the day. Lots of birds around and I was pleased with the site. Certainly worth visiting. The weedy field at the southwest end of the park is especially good. Tons of sparrows in there! No warbler or bushtits for me though so if it's with the bushtits would explain no warbler sighting. Thanks for the report Graeme.
