I saw the hybrid California Scrub x Steller's Jay again today on Stevenson Road near School Lane. The other time I saw it it was just a bit further east of that near Collins Drive.

Bumped into it again today not far from the other two places I've seen it. I didn't have time to see what it was up to or if it was hanging out with a Steller's still.

It's still around as of yesterday; same general area.

This bird has been visiting a feeder all summer. It has been with a Steller's Jay but no sightings of any young birds with them. Either they didn't nest or an attempted nesting failed.
eBird is doing their taxonomic updates now and this hybrid will be added with this update. It will be cool to add it to the list!
