I’m heading up Flatiron tomorrow(Monday Oct 15). Pretty fair chance to see WT Ptarmigan and other mountain species. It’s approximately 3 hrs 1 way. I’m leaving from Chilliwack, have room for 3!😀 Ed Klassen

Joel and I had a fantastic fall day to hike up Flatiron. We saw crows Ravens, Pine Siskens. Horned Larks, Bohemian Waxwings. Also 2 Rough legged Hawks, 1 a striking dark phase! A middle school class of about 30 people heading for an overnight stay in the alpine.... my guess is they will be wildly cold at night for lack of appropriate sleeping bags😲 They’ll have fun though and perhaps a a memorable experience! No Ptarmigan but a lot of tracks on fresh snow!

Nice! It looks like a good fall for Bohemian Waxwings in the mountains.
