A couple of weeks ago while at Ponderosa Park in Abbotsford (off Upper MacLure Rd - e-Bird hotspot is listed as Upper MacLure Pond and Trail), I found a pair of Pied-Billed Grebes, calling to each other. A couple of days ago, I returned to check on them and again found both, with one of them sitting on a nest out amongst the lily pads. The nest is out at about 10 or 11 o'clock when looking out from the viewing platform at the north end of the pond and doubt 2/3 of the way to the bank. I'm looking forward to seeing the young. Good spotting, that is a location which I have been to once or twice and it obviously merits more looks.

There is a good mix of habitat in the immediate area. The pond, of course and then the trail near the north end leading to the east takes you past an open field on top of the reservoir and down to the forest beyond.
