This morning I decided to change the settings on my camera again and I dropped down to Wellband Creek Park to test the camera. I ran into Gord and Randy and they pointed out that in this mixed flock of Swallows there was a Bank Swallow. I have seen them at Aldergrove Regional Park but I have never been able to capture an image. They were so fast and turned on a dime with 9 cents change and were a real challenge to capture. I also had difficulty telling one from another. I tend to be a more laid back photographer and find rapid changes of action a real challenge. The point of the change to my camera settings was to help in this. Surprisingly one of the first three image of the couple hundred I took turned out to be the Banks Swallow! Bank Swallow by Nick, on Flickr I stayed longer to practice working with the new settings and did not get any better images of the Bank Swallow than this one but I am not disappointed. I did manage to get some good images of a bigger target which I will share later.

Great running into you today Nick!
Awesome photo! Impressive considering how hard they are to even track in binoculars let alone a camera!
