Went to Downes Bowl 2 days ago. There has been some work done to the trails, making it a pleasant place to explore. A Black-headed Grosbeak was looking for love. Yesterday Jackman Wetlands had this FOY Yellow Warbler also singing for attention. A Common Yellowthroat came out of the long grass at Silverdale Wetlands in Mission, long enough to get his picture taken.

Len: Great shots. As I was saying to another B.C. birder today, it is very interesting to see the reports of successful migration. As a full time resident of Arizona now, I was just showing off these birds to visitors a few weeks ago at Paton's Center for Hummingbirds in Patagonia- S.E. Arizona, where, as you know, I volunteer. I think the Common Yellowthroat was only attracted by a pond like water feature, and is long gone. For some reason we are still getting a number of Black headed Grosbeaks, ( attracted by feeders ), and on most days I am there I see one or two Yellow Warblers, as well as Wilson's, and the odd Western Tanager. Will they stay to breed??? Rufous Hummingbirds are also long gone; ( we'll see you in August ). Thanks for the report. Thor

Great images! It is nice to hear they have done some clean up at Downes Bowl, the last time I was there the trail was not easily passed through. I have never been to the Silverdale Wetlands I will have to check it out.
