Thanks Gord and Chris. I went today and got my lifer. I slowly drove and parked and drove around Southlands Cr and the school and looked but did not find. After waiting around twenty minutes, I parked in the Chilliwack city lot at Young Rd and Southlands Dr and waited for it. The Scrub Jay started west of Young Rd, from the top of the telephone poles, to the ground, waited, then flew back to the top of the pole. Just when I thought to chase it, it flew NE across Young, over the houses abutting Southlands Cr., and landed on the top of a dormant tree in the back yard towards Brooks Ave and Coventry Pl. I got lots of great views of it and the Stellars Jays keeping it company. Thanks.

Saw it again today. Sure is a long-lasting bird for the area! Hope it finds a mate sooner than later.

This guy continues on Southland Drive.
I've also had some photos sent of the Scrub x Steller's Jay hybrid still in the Stevenson Road area
