Gord: It looks like your internet has been connected at home. Welcome back, and commiserations on the move. As you, and, perhaps, other Chilliwack birders cruise the fall/winter's gull fields, an Iceland Gull would be nice!!. I am sure we would also all be thrilled with the " return of the Slaty ". Maybe it's also our turn for a Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher. I seem to remember a Chilliwack bird being reported a few winters ago, that could not be relocated. Dave, I am staring at that same tree on my runs around the airport for your Pygmy Owl. So far, it has found another roost. I might go up to the Hope Lookout tomorrow, and there was a Barred Owl in there last time. You never know. Cheers, Thor

Well, Thor, they have found a Tropical Kingbird on the Island! When is Hope Airport going to finally produce?
I find our local strategy rather interesting. First we pick the location, then pick out a rare bird, then we wait for the two to come together. Reminds me of someone staking out a Northern Waterthrush at Island 22

Dave: It does seem like kind of an odd strategy. There is something about the Hope Airport, and flycatchers that looks like a really good match. Oh well, we live in " hope ". Cheers, Thor
