I have noticed quite a few emails of late circulating that have a virus attached. These emails' topics are often about a pay stub from work, outstanding debt for toll bridge use etc. The idea is to raise your curiosity so you will follow their request to open the attachment to see the pay stub, dispute the outstanding debt etc. All are .zip files which are quite dangerous because one can put basically anything inside those and once you open the .zip file the virus that is hidden inside is released.
These can come from or appear to come from a person you know too so do not let that fool you either.
Just thought I'd spread the word! Be safe out there. If you're not sure. Do not click on it. Many problems require you to click for it to do its damage.
Pretty sad there's people who have nothing better to do out there.

Thanks for the warning Gord! Sounds pretty bad!

PS:
There are lots of meadowlarks singing in the sagebrush here in Kamloops now!

That's one of my favourite sounds to wake up to in a morning when out camping. I can just hear it now.

Watch out for a new one. It looks like it's from Canada Post but is not. It claims you were not home to get your delivery and if you want them to try again you have to click a link so they can. I dont know what's in the link but it's probably not great.
There is a similar ones that look like they come from the bank, PayPal and so forth telling you your account has been compromised and if you want to reactivate or get your account back into good order you must click a link and/or type in some information to prove you are who you are. This information then gets used for fraud. These companies will never send an email nor ask for any information via email. If in doubt, phone them to sort out any issues.
Be vigilant!
