I liked this video Gord. I had to find out something about the camera he used. It is a SonyNEXFS700 and retails for about $9000. It shoots 960 frames a second. I figured I couldn't get results like that with my rig

Gord,
Awesome clip! One of the best I've ever seen. Now to try tying an imitation that hovers slightly above the surface! Perhaps a light-weight battery with helicopter blades? I did see it take an imitation on the surface, but the hovering challenge would be fun...

Len, I was curious what camera they used and suspected it would a well-out-of-my-price-range deal. Neat looking rig that would make FVB's YouTube channel a bit more interesting over the current hand held point and shoot or, if able to sneak it out of the house, the family camcorder produced footage. Tom Vagrant, I was considering the same thing and wondered if with all the active insects flying about that a fly sitting on the water may be hard pressed to get much attention. I saw the strike at the end of the video too. There's a couple damselfly dries in my fly box actually. They've never seen the water yet but the video got me keen on the idea!
