The Mountain Bluebird is still at, 500 meters West of the Lefebvre/Marsha McCormack intersection in Glen Valley. It's staying within a 100 meter radius of a large fence post.

Awesome to hear it is still hanging around Chris. Although they are quite a common migrant in Spring, a November sighting is excellent for the Fraser Valley.

The Mountain Bluebird was still at the same location, 500 meters West of the Lefebvre/Marsh McCormack intersection in Glen Valley, Abbotsford. It seems to stay within 100 meters of a large Gate post.

I went down and got it today, also. It's a Lifer for me ... Thank You for the post. BTW, there are two Mountain Bluebirds at that location. I was able to get a poor photo that has both in the frame.

That's great. We were only seeing the front bird. We were speculating that there might be another, but never saw a second one. I'll check periodically.

Both Bluebirds continue today at 4:20 P.M.. They are exceedingly shy, so the looks were at least 50m away. Attachments:

Nice to see they are still present.
Nice pictures Wes. They can be shy. For some reason I thought you saw them up in Hope. Nice to see you get a lifer.
Damion, asked a question in the Monthly Challenge thread if these birds in our checklist area. I checked Ebird and the FVRD map and it appears they are just in barely.

Ed Klassen told me about the Mountain Bluebirds today (Wednesday) so I drove into the Glen Valley to see if they were still there (and if they were, hopefully they would be inside the Abbotsford boundary so I could add them to my Abbotsford list). I arrive at Marsh-McCormaick Road at 3:00 pm and just 100 meters west of Lefeuvre there they both were (so inside Abbotsford!). So new bird for my Abbotsford list and two beautiful birds in their own right! Good birding, John Vooys

A pair of Mountain Bluebirds first reported by John Vooys were still present Thursday morning several hundred metres west of Lafeuvre Rd on Marsh-Mccormick Rd. Are we looking at two adults or is one juvenile? John Gordon Langley/Cloverdale
