Hi everyone, this morning in my yard I saw one of those hummingbird moths. I had never seen one before. Does anyone know the exact species that this is? Is it common? I also saw BTG warblers around Brydon - my 118th Brydon species and I had 2 western tanagers in my yard, which is yard species number 85 for me. One of the western tanagers:

Randy, overlooked this post. I've seen these moths too now and then just at dusk. Really neat insects.
Did you intend to post a picture?
Good shot of the tanagers and great yard birds for you! Nicely done.

Thanks for the reply Gord. I would have loved to be able to post a picture but I wasn't able to get one. This one was present in the middle of the day and I just wasn't sure how common they were. Definitely pretty cool to see.
