A family member forwarded the following link for a segment that was on CBC's "The Current" recently. It's all about a researcher studying the language used by prairie-dogs. Here's a link to the interview: Learning animal language from prairie dogs. It's fascinating to listen to. There actually is an indirect link to birds - the person being interviewed has written a book called "Following Doctor Doolittle" where he talks about the language used by animals around the globe, some of which are in fact birds.
