Thanks for the excellent advice Ken. This will give me lots of 'ammunition' and scope to work on. I am really catching on a lot better with all the helpful advice. I think aperture before speed priority is worth practicing. The pic I posted of the flying eagles at Mill Lake was a 'grandstand' one -time opportunity like a fly past at the Abbotsford air show! The one I liked best is the blurry one. I had it set at 1/1000th @ f5.6 but was so excited about getting him in the viewfinder I think I missed the halfway focus and pressed all the way. By the next one I was a bit more careful! I will try using manual a bit more.
