This is getting a little silly!! Last few times Ive been up Cheam Mtn Ive been seeing them, and in good numbers as well. I am wondering if this is just an irruption (species in higher than usual numbers and/or moved into areas they usually dont occupy) or if they're just getting missed up in the mountains but are there every year. I do believe this species does wander. Aside from the eight I saw last winter and the one that hit my window at least 10-12 years ago, these are my only records. I think someone saw a small flock in Hemlock Valley once too if I recall correctly. Anyone else have any sightings?
