Thanks for the links. When I was out back today at Brydon I found some chum salmon running up the creek as well. It was pretty cool. It's something I've never seen before being from Saskatchewan and the fact that it's essentially happening in my backyard made it even more unique for me. Here are a couple pics: The birding was fairly quiet. Saw 31 species today. Added pacific wren to my Brydon list, which was a nice treat. Other notables included about 40 LB dowitchers and 200 GW teal on the marsh. The lagoon had a handful of hooded and common mergansers. There was a flock of about 40 pine siskins and tried/hoped to find a redpoll or two but couldn't. A Eurasian-collared dove flew by, which was only the second or third time I've seen one of these here. Also a double-crested cormorant was resting on one of the floating logs in the lagoon.

Encouraging to see that hard work can pay off. Thanks for sharing that Joel. It is also a very good year for Chum. Last year was a little poor and it's always concerning to see that.
