Most of us who post photos to the Forum have been using PhotoBucket. Recently I noticed a few people using Flickr. I switch to Flickr a year ago for my "repository" of photos after some problems with PhotoBucket. Yesterday I did a simple posting (thanks Jon for your tip).
Here are a few thoughts on why I like Flickr:
For posting to the Forum, Flickr saves me 2 steps. With PhotoBucket I would create a small file image of my picture in Elements and them upload to PhotoBucket. In Flickr the share feature will make the small file for posting and a copy/paste will put the link on my Forum post. Slick as a goose.
Other features of Flickr that I like are; lots of bird photographers use the site and "like users" have formed groups that you can join and post your photos to (Field Guide: Birds of BC and I Love Birds to name a couple).
New photographers will like it because you can see what others are doing and find a style that you can work towards.
Finally hard core birders will like the Group - Field Guide: Birds of the World which has pictures of over 7800 birds.
Joining Flickr is free but I chose the $25/yr membership which gives me no advertisement on the site and near unlimited storage. By the way this is just my opinion. Give it a try.

Hi Dave, I am happy to see/hear that it worked out for you. I have been using flickr for a few years now and I am very happy with them....I have let my paid account lapse...but now that I am posting more pictures again I will be redoing it. Thank you for posting the names of those photo groups I will be checking them out for sure JonM

One further comment. If you look at the my post for the flickr test and look at the creeper pic you can see that I deleted most of the info that Flickr puts on to advertise the site. This is easy to do just delete the info after the last [/IMG] code then add what ever info you want.

Dave, thanks for the info. I tried using Flickr today and it worked great. Probably will make the switch because Photobucket has been slow for me.
