Hi all- It is time for Tony and I to explore a new area and so we've decided to sell our house and property which is located in a forested setting along the Fraser River in the Hope area.
Ideally, we would like to sell to someone who would love the fact that we have kept our 3 acre property in a managed park-like state which has a good representation of the native flora of this ecozone as well as an abundance of migratory and native birds. My question is: Do you know of any birding or naturalist-type magazines that we could advertise our property in ?
Any suggestions would be most welcomed!
Thanks Tony and Deb

Deb and Tony, sure hope you get someone who does appreciate your wonderful property. I wish that would be us as it would be great, but had to buy in Chilliwack (thus why Im not overly active of late...packing boxes)
Im not certain if there's a magazine for advertisements, but you could (and might have already) consider sending out a little ad to those who are into natural history and ask that they forward it on to like-minded people. It might spread fairly quickly in the naturalist circles. Though, you may wish to create a 'throw away email' as in asking for forwarding your email around it might get your email address on the spam list as it travels around.
Best wishes, and hope all goes well

Deb, sorry to hear your leaving us, but Ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
I don't subscribe anymore, but B.C. Outdoors used to have quite a big section on rural and recreational real estate. Many of which I wanted to buy.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it! On a side note, just watched The Big Year on DVD...really enjoyed the movie and recommend it in spite of the poor reviews...think you have to understand birders to appreciate it Deb

I agree, Deb. It's a bit hokey in places but overall it certainly describes the passion some people feel about birding. Myself included!
