I would like to recommend to those with DSLR's who have not tried burst mode (your camera's drive mode can be set to single, continuous or burst mode, self-timer, etc) to give it a try. Most newer DSLR's will shot at 5 or more shots per second. You will find some interesting material. EG: Yesterday I shot a 7 picture burst of a yellow-rump. First shot "Rump with Bug"2nd Bug goes down3rd "Nice Bug!"This techniques are good for the fast birds such as Hummers even when they are sitting because they are still moving!: In less than a minute I took 17 shots from 4-5 bursts. The group had some goodish shots; An interesting shot; But most looked like this: One technical detail is to use higher speed memory cards. Give it a try... DaveP

Great advice Dave. I have tried this a few times and have been able to capture images I would not have captured.
Love the picture with the warbler and the bug.
