Hello folks
I saw 2 pacific loons feeding under the harrison river bridge on sunday. Cool thing is i was able to idenify them from info on this site. Well done Gord you have done a great job bringing it together for us. thank -you

Nice work Lew! Glad that the site helped too! From what I know, Pacific loons are a species of note here. Id love to have pictures (if you're willing) for the site to go along with the record. They dont have to be really good but it's nice to document them when possible. Kathy posted a photo of one she saw from an Interior lake last fall. I was most surprised to see them as I always considered them to be a fairly strict oceanic species except when breeding. Your record is not so surprising as it might have been a year ago! Amazing what we learn! Thanks for your kind words too.
