Saw a Peregrine Falcon over here this afternoon. ;D It landed briefly in the 'eagle tree' beside the viewing platform at Eagle Point Park. I guess that made up for the fact that there was absolutely nothing else around except for a couple of Ravens that were creating a ruckus and led me to spotting the Falcon.

Saw that Peregrine Falcon again today. Again it was a pair of ravens that alerted me to it. This time the Falcon flew up into the same 'eagle tree' and stayed there for awhile so I was actually able to get a good look at it and also get some not great photos. I don't know if it had something it was eating, but after a bit one of the ravens came back and attacked the falcon. The falcon flew off screaming....circled the tree once and then headed off across the flats while the raven settled down in the same spot the falcon had been sitting in.

Nice to see a falcon! Neat that the ravens were involved both times. Almost makes you wonder if they had their eyes on something the falcon was eating if it did have something.
A few days ago on the side of the highway I saw a juv bald eagle eating a coyote that had been hit by a car. There were two ravens right there but not too close waiting their turn or to get enough nerve to try and harass the eagle off the carcass.
