While driving towards Island 22 on Cartmell Rd in north Chilliwack, stopped to check on ducks in the Fraser River just before the gate (lazuli bunting zone). In behind the ducks was a pair of eagles. One, a juv bald eagle, flew away. My eye caught on the one that remained feeding on a fish carcass. The amount of white on the upper half of the tail that ended somewhat abruptly prompted a closer look with the scope. Was pleased I did so! ;D
You can see why they're called golden eagles! I took these through the scope at about 250 yds.
