hello birders two good birds reported to me at the store today. first was a gray phase gryfalcon seen around the area of annis rd. and chilliwack central. the second was of a snowy owl perched on top of a town house complex. it is located above suite #103 - 46451 maple ave. the town house complex is called fairlane. i had time to run over and see the snowy and it is an immature bird. the gyrfalcon i'll try for later.

Snowy owl at 4:00 p.m.--not the best as it was against the light and I used digital zoom--but I did have the pleasure of showing the bird to several residents. First one I've seen east of Boundary Bay. Jeff

Awesome birds! Thanks for the documenting photo, Jeff. Hang on to that, I will have a use for it, Im just not sure when yet. Hope the owl finds an area it likes and sticks around. Id put money that it might hang around Chilliwack Central just west of Prest. Good grassland there for hunting, and I saw my first snowy owl in that area back in '92 or so.
