This little guy was at the Heron Res on Tuesday. This tree stump at the eastern edge of the loop trail has Creeper nests and Bewick Wrens are in the same area. Last winter Ken and I saw 4 Woodpecker species in the same area. DaveP

I've found that shooting small mammals is often more difficult than shooting birds.
BTW anyone know if this is a native Douglas Squirrel or if it is one of the introduced Eastern Gray Squirrels?

Not a Douglas squirrel. Some sort of grey, native or imported, not sure.

Dave and Karen Now I photographed wildlife for 40 years. Avoided birds as I thought birds were more difficult. Last September (2010) was my first bird outing.
