Hi I decided to leave the 300mm in the truck and try a little digiscoping today. I should have waited for a sunny day but thought Dave's Pied-billed Grebes at Sardis park would make good subjects anyway. The equivalent focal length to a regular camera is about 1600mm with my 20X Swarovski scope and 50mm lens on the Canon 7D. A bit of sun would have reduced the noise. I don't do digiscoping much anymore so it was nice to get into it again.

Nice job Len, there never seems to be enough light when you need it. . I run into that all the time with my long lens., I have thought of carring one of those 400,000 candle power spolight with me, but don't have enough hands . I did not get out till a week later myself and they were a least twice the size now. Unfourtunatley were out towards the middle
