Wow, Ken. I had no idea that you were unwell. What a dramatic story!
So happy to hear that you have pulled through and will once again be inspiring us all to get out there and get snapping and sharing our outdoor experiences.
Now I'm really looking forward to meeting you face to face!
All the best, Murray

Dear Chris and Murray It is I who was so inspired by thoughts of meeting my birding friends, and trying to capture the fantastic images that you all do so well. My wife knew the right words to whisper in my ear! Keep up the excellent work on here and for sure, I would be delighted to meet you in the field. I have so much yet to learn.

Thanks Deb and Tony. I am very happy to say that my recovery is coming along great. Yesterday, I photographed my first bird (at the feeders in my front yard) and the feeling was great! Thank you for your comments - very appreciated! Ken

Hi Ken...
hope you have a speedy recovery ...and get back to birding soon. I haven't had time to get out for a while ,family and holidays etc I am having withdrawals so in that sense i know how you feel eager to go birding and meeting with the other birders

Thanks Trudi. I am very pleased to state that my recovery is going faster than expected, and my doctor just gave me the go-ahead to carry my camera and tripod and venture out. I have to be careful as I am still bandaged up a bit, as not all the sutures have healed. Still, I find it hard to grasp that just a month ago I was coming out of a 4 day coma. The human body is amazing! As I stated earlier, the positive power of all of you and other family and friends has to be a factor. Fantastic, all of you! It feels soooo great to be birding again. My first subject, identified for me by Chris, was a female House Sparrow. So Trudi, let's hope you can get out there soon. We might even meet up! That would be so cool!

Ok. I maybe I can blame this on my frozen brain. Female House Sparrow it is!
