OK ... let me get this straight. A Harris Sparrow (or any kind of sparrow) is a wee bird. It could fit in my hand. Yet, so many of you can find this one bird in a province of 944,735 sq.km! Second thought, Afganistan is only 649,456 sq. km. Hmmm Obviously, the U.S. is sending the wrong people over there to find Osama Bin Ladin. Go figure. Send in the Birders! Ken Pugh

The road to the harris's is flooded and not passable. Better wait for the water to recede if you are thinking of going there,

Super find and beautiful photos Chris and Gord! Shows that we should pay attention to those House Sparrows in the blackberries, you never know when they will turn out to be something like a pretty little Harris if we look closely! We have yet to see one of these beauties!

I searched for the Harris's today but didn't find it. Spent some time in South Langley with Bohemian Waxwings.
