I just checked the Vancouver rare bird alert and noticed this:
OUT-OF-TOWN RARE BIRD ALERT for an Acorn Woodpecker, only the third record for BC, present in Princeton at 156 Tulameen Trail from May 24 to 28, and another Acorn Woodpecker at the Manning Park Lodge on May 27.
Anybody know anything about it?

Bryan
The one at Princeton was seen coming to a suet feeder. The one at Manning Park is an interesting sighting. The only information I heard was when I was looking at the Chestnut-collared Longspur. A few birders mentioned that an Acorn Woodpecker was seen at Manning Park Lodge. At first I thought it could have been the one that was hanging out in Princeton but it would be impossible to be the same bird. There are only three recorded sightings in B.C. and to have another show up three days later I find that somewhat odd. However, you never know it is possible. They are such cool looking birds and I would love to see one. That doesn't really help much but I do not think there is much information on this particular bird.

Certainly interested to hear any more details on that one as well! Thanks for the heads up Bryan.
