Had publicity run to Hope today, so I took Marion along. We first went to the blueberry field by our place and relocated the Lazuli. What a beauty... and hanging in! Also spotted a Cliff Swallow on the edge of the road. (Lifer - Marion) After my business, we stopped at the Airport after lunch for a look around. Spotted a Chipping Sparrow on side of road, but Marion missed it. An Olive-sided Flycatcher was perched high in a tree, looks like a juvie by the hint of yellow on the belly. Lots of peewees around, so the size difference made the ID easy. (Lifer - Marion) Spotted the Swainson's Hawk out on the airfield. (Lifer - both of us) Then spotted a small flycatcher, possible Gray (see ID section), if so a lifer for both of us. Spotted a Western Kingbird working long grass. (Lifer - Marion) Also saw a Mourning Dove on the brush pile to the east of the airport, plus a few crows, ravens and Turkey Vultures. Stopped a Cheam Lake on the way home, and Marion got Lifer #6 the Gray Catbird. What a great day. ;D

Super report and sightings Kev. Love that Bunting photo. That is one beautiful bird. Nice Olive-sided flycatcher photos. We couldn't get one photo of it when we were there.
