Wow that's a late record and great sighting as well along with the Sandhills Cranes. Outside of Reifel I have not seen any Sandhill Cranes.
Like always I am enjoying your journal. I love the recent shots of the young Chickadees.

I enjoy finishing my day by looking at the journal. Always great photos and plenty of surprises. Certainly living proof of what photos can be captured through patience, understanding and unobtrusive actions.

Thanks Gord and Chris, your opinions are very important to us. The male Ruddy Duck was at the Great Blue Heron Reserve North Lagoon from our first sighting until this morning. The female left the day after we first saw them.

The little male Ruddy Duck was seen every day from May 27th to June 03rd at the North Lagoon at the GBHNR. We didn't find him on June 4th. He may have moved on.
