We birded Downes Bowl, Fishtrap Creek and Willband Creek park today for the Abbotsford CBC, along with two other people. I've forgotten the exact totals per species, but I do remember that we had 43 species.
Some highlights were:
A Cooper's Hawk at Fishtrap A Green Heron at Willband 30 Northern Pintails at Willband 7 Wood Ducks at Downes Bowl A Great Blue Heron at Downes Bowl 2 Bald Eagles near their nest, viewable from the Willband parking lot a bunch of ring-necked ducks (16?)
Lots of other regulars that you would expect to see, but no real rarities. The rain didn't help much either.
Also, to any birders stopping by Willband, watch your car carefully. We had our small side window smashed and the whole car rifled through. They didn't take too much of value, but we lost some personal items. Kind of puts a sour note to an otherwise fantastic day of birding.

Good report Dan thanks. Seems to be two green herons hanging around this winter! Shared your misfortune yesterday of getting broken into . This happened at Cheam Lake Wetlands. Nothing big stolen but what a headache. Grrr Welcome to the site as well.
