Last week in Lillooet, a PINE WARBER was video taped coming to suet at bird feeders for a couple of days. It didnt last long as it was suspected to been caught by a pygmy owl which dissapointed a whole whack of twitchers.
Unreal bird to see during migration, never mind in the winter!!!!!!
While on the topic of wierd birds, a American redstart was found in Washington state in a mixed flock of small birds.
Anything and everything is possible!

Gord: I have been checking my feeders regularly, and be getting a lot of action with the usual suspects; Varied Thrush, Chickadees, Song Sparrows, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Steller Jays, Pine Siskins. However two nights ago, I had a larger than expected visitor, who trashed the whole lot; a black bear observed by my neighbour chowing down. The feeders are temporarily retired in anticipation of hibernation.

Up in Hope with the recent cold weather and snow you'd think they'd be hibernating already. Hope he goes soon so you can get your feeders back up.
Hit and miss for hibernation once you get further and further towards the coast.
