I heard that someone got a Rose-breasted Grosbeak in Sumallo Grove on their way to the Manning Bird Blitz.
Rather than post it all over on other sites, I hope those who check in on this site could help with more information.
The family and I are planning a picnic trip up there to Manning tomorrow so cant wait to share a report.

Hi Gord
At the Manning Bird Blitz I heard a conversation between Dick Cannings and a man I didn't know. It was the unknown man who said he had heard/seen(?) a Rose-breasted Grosbeak at Sumallo. Kelly Pearce, who organises the blitz, later said that they have been reported in Manning in the past.
Hope this helps- Bryan

Bryan, thanks. I can ask Dick or Kelly for more information.
On our trip yesterday we stopped briefly to stretch the legs but did not encounter anything. We wanted to save the little legs for other places so didnt bother going too far.

Thanks to Mike and Barb McGrenere who shared the details of their sighting. They saw it, a male, just off the highway on the road to the Sumallo Grove parking lot on June 12.
Actually, I believe the first record I am aware of however I have not asked Kelly about the other sightings.
