Took a little walk at Cheam around 3:00. Met a nice birder from North Van and went out together to view the swans with the scope.
There were 59 trumpeter swans on the lake. Also found 2 female ruddy ducks. It was fairly quiet waterfowl wise on the lake, but maybe most had gone for the evening already.
The lake was frozen with a very thin and rotten layer of ice in several areas. Hope the swans stick around and help keep part of the lake open all winter.
